There are 100s of books just like this. I read a bunch. Mostly because I was stuck in a airport and it looked interesting. The one that i liked most was "Millionaire Next Door". It was much more of an analysis on how the "rich" became "rich". Much more objective with statistics and scalable plans as opposed to family secrets or get-rich schemes.
I guess what I got out of all these books is that the younger you start tax-sheltered investing, the better off you'll be financially. Doesn't mean you have to eat Mac-n-Cheese every night...just try to live a bit below your means. US consumer debt has hit $2 TRILLION. Too many Material Girls (& Guys) have their CC's maxed out.
