in my opinion, the car is worth a lot more than msrp... it is a better car than my 911 was when you consider the costs of running it as well as its reliability. and it is an incredible machine too! i was about to spend close to twice as much on the s boxster (if you have priced the boxster you know about all of the options!) when i discovered this car... and i am glad i bought the honda!

 

don't get me wrong, guys. i think the s2000 is a fine value. it does what it does in a special way. all you current drivers know this better than I.

but, if you're a person who doesn't have cash to burn (me), i would not pay more than what the manufacturer says it's worth.

I wouldn't pick the boxster s over the S2000 because I think the porsche is ugly. in case of a new 911, hell, i wouldn't give it ta second thought.

so to the guys who are like... yeah, man, i'd never take the porsche 911/bmw m3 straight up because i can redline this baby up to 9rpm... you guys are delusional.
