S2K in critical condition
To make a long story short, I was involved in a 1-party accident last night in the heavy rain. The front of the car received most if not all of the damage. The rest of the car practically remained unscathed, no broken of even shattered windows to be accounted. My front right tire appeared to be the only one flattened and its wheel was slighty scratched. The whole front grille is crumpled, both headlights were gone and my hood was still attached but its sides were propped open making it look like a wave.
I was wondering if anyone had similar experiences in which the car was still able to be fixed. I talked to one of the managers and he said it's fixable; it's just a matter if the repairs will outweigh the value of the car or not. I have full coverage insurance and I know the blue book value of a 2003 Honda S2000 is around 20k. So I'm hoping the damages incurred do not exceed that amount.
Well that's all I can say for now. Sorry I don't have any pictures.

Was this your fault?
Honestly, if the frame is damaged, which it very well could be, then you dont want to fix the car. The car will never drive the same again once the frame is bent, no matter what anyone tells you. I know you want to be able to fix it at all costs, but if the frame is bent, you might as well get another one. I know this isnt what you want to hear, but if this is the case, then this is your best bet. I can imagine that the place that wants to do the work says it is 'fixable' because they want to have your business. Get a second opinion from a non-body shop outfit.
Also, shouldnt this post be under s2k talk?
