Default Looked at a S2K in VA, avoid Colonial Honda in VA

I checked out a S2K at Colonial Honda of Richmond that was a CPO car, here is the email below that I sent to the GM just now.

Cliff notes - Drove 2 hours to the dealership after putting a deposit down, told the car was in great shape and ready to take home, had a torn top, worn seats, curbbed wheels.

Does anybody know of a Honda of NA contact to express dissatisfaction in a dealership, or would they even care?

I wanted to share my story of extreme disappointment to you when visiting your dealership yesterday, January 24th. Earlier this week (around Monday I believe), I came across your online listing for the Blue 2006 Honda S2000. In the pictures the car looked great, and I was told on the phone and in email the car was in great shape. At that point I put down a $500 dollar deposit on the car, so that I could hold it till I could get the time off work to drive the 2 hours from Raleigh, NC to your dealership to check the car out. We arranged for me to head up to the dealership on Saturday and I had an appointment set for 4PM. When I got there, everybody at the dealership was very nice and helpful, but the experience went completely down hill from that point on. We (my fiancé and I) took the car for a test drive, and although it drove nicely there were so many issues with this car that I told was in great shape. We took a look at the condition of the car, and for a Honda certified pre-owned car it was in very lackluster shape. Immediately we noticed a tear in the top of the car, and every wheel on the car had had been curbed. One of the wheels at least 1/3 of was curbed. The body also had numerous scratch marks that had been filled, but still very noticeable. The seats in the car also had a lot of wear and seemed to not be taken very good care of for a car with 34k on it, that is Certified by your dealership. When we expressed our concerns about the car, the sales manager was brought in to the situation. When the sales person told the manager we had concerns about the car, the very first thing that he said was “the wheels? I can take care of them” before even mentioning what our concerns were. When he came up and introduced himself to me, he did not even say hi, or even acknowledge my fiancé who was standing right beside me, and who is also a decision maker in this process. Which yet again put a very bad taste in our mouth about your dealership. I had intended to bring the car home with me that day, and the car was not even in presentable condition to a buyer. I drove from 2 hours away, took time out of work, and being with my family to check out this car that I was told is in great shape, and ready to take home. On top of all this, I know the car has sat on the lot for over 3 months, and I can not believe a car listing for almost 20k, is in this shape when I am told it is a great car. Both myself and my fiancé left your dealership with a horrible perception of everybody involved with this dealership. I wanted to express my concerns to you, as I was a wiling and able buyer, that drove over 2 hours, to look at a car that was sold to my over the phone and email as in great shape and ready to take home. I plan to share this story with friends and family, as your dealership has severely let me down as a potential customer.

That is why you come here and ask if anyone lives close by to go check out the car and give an opinion on said vehicle.

no, it isn't... or if it is, it's certainly common practice to ignore it. i've seen half a dozen CPO cars with serious wheel curbage, among other issues.
