S2K MSRP vs new Ford T-Bird
Last summer I put my name in for a new T-Bird ( no deposit and no promises from the dealership). I got a call today that a T-Bird was waiting with my name on it. I thanked the dealer and told him I purchased a Honda S2000 in Feb. and I loved it. BTW I asked how much? He said $8000 OVER sticker. Would you pay almost $47000 for a T-Bird? NOT ME! I think a Stook @ 32750 is not only a better deal but a better car (although I have not driven the Bird, just read the reviews).

Two completely different types of cars.
Our honda is a thinly veiled convertible race car for the streets.
The thunderbird is a retro styled luxo convertible.
it's heavy, heavy, heavy. it doesn't even offer a manual tranny i believe. all the rightups have been very clear to point out that it is suspended for the boulvadier set as opposed to corner carvers.
plus, they're fugly.

Ford Stops Thunderbird Production
August 21, 2001
As if Ford didn't have enough problems, the company said it has halted production of its new Thunderbird and Lincoln LS due to problems with the cooling system that caused the engine to overheat, Reuters reported.
Ford stopped production of the two cars at its Wixom, Michigan, plant last Wednesday, and expects operations to resume later this week, the story said.
"In isolated cases in the plant, we've had occasion for an engine to overheat," said Ford spokesman Ed Lewis.
Lewis said Ford detected the problems in the 3.9 liter V-8 engines before they were shipped to dealers or delivered to customers. The problem will not result in a recall since none were delivered yet, he said. Lost production of the vehicle could be recovered later, he added.

Nope, I wouldn't pay that much for a T-bird. I know they are 2 different cars for 2 different markets, but there is no way I'm going to pay that much for a Ford.
