S2k's next Enemy....the 2002 Beetle Turbo S
i think hes talking about hpa motorsports they make some crazy fast vdubs......i think that there twin turbo vr6 produces about 400hp at the wheels and does the 0-60 in just over 4 seconds, they also converted the car from a front wheel drive to a 4motion platform(just like quattro)and the turbo beetle s has the same set up as the jetta and the gti and with a apr chip it will produce 190hp and 245 ft of torque
those cars can easily produce 300hp with bolt ones(chip,3in dp,3in catback,k04 upgrade,fmic,cab)

Be very careful if you ever race a 1.8T beetle. The audi's and the vw's all have the same block its just different software for the turbo that seperates them. You can run upwards of 1.35 bar on the street with the stock turbo and intercooler. On a beetle with the apr chip you can get about 49 hp and 65 fp torque just by turning up the boast. For a little under 4000 bucks you can chip, upgrade the turbo, intercooler, and clutch, and exhast and be around 275 hp at the front wheel. Thats what I did. Of course they are no fun to drive like that as the torque steer really takes effect at these levels. WIth the new 6 speed out of the TT all use beetle guys are jumping for joy. Why, because when properly (realativly cheaply.) modified they can hold hp rating in the 800 range. Quite nice if you ask me. The crappy stock 5 speed has been hold a few people back for the last two years.
