hmmm. reading everyones responses is very interesting! everyone of the college age usually drinks a good bit, and the only ones who don't are the strict religious types, it seems, and even lots of them do it simply to have 'fun.' not all nights with large doses of alcohol are 'fun,' but dammit, it sure can help sometimes.
i also see how its damaging too, so... i guess i just don't try to morally categorize it... yet

you bluetooth haters need to understand what it is that you are saying. who cares if the call is that important. you're not condemning people who are constantly on the phone holding the handset to their head. the earpiece is just a smarter way of doing the same thing. ive said it before, if you're baggin on it, you prob never used it properly.
My G/F has a blue tooth...when I see it in her ear I give her a hard time about it until she takes it out...unless she is driving of course...same thing when people wear cell phones on their hip, like they are some sort of modern day techno cowboy.

scot keeps comlaining about random crap that tends to have a valid point embedding somewhere within and it got me thinkin.
does anyone have strong negative feelings towards alcohol and the culture surrounding it? it is arguably as dangerous, deadly and unhealthy as many other vices that people have and yet everyone walks around saying things like "i got so wasted" and are usually viewed as being cool. the whole world as a culture embraces alcohol and it bugs the hell out of me.
im prob alone on this.

i don't do it because i hate myself or because i'm insecure or whatever.... it's just drinking. it's nice to be able to lose your inhibitions and have fun and let loose with your friends, especially after a tough day at work, or a test that you've been studying for for days. plus, i'm not obligated to a spouse or kids at this point in my life, so why not? this is the period of my life where i think it's most appropriate to have an irresponsible good time... and to drive a red 2-seater sports car, and snort coke (j/k!
), and to wear low rise jeans/low cut tops, and fry my skin in a tanning bed, etc. I'M YOUNG! the key to being a good hedonist is to keep your pleasure seeking in check and know when too much is too much. i don't know, that's my take on it...
Beer Googles are always a good thing......until you wake up.....
Beer Muscles are not always such a good thing....
I have only "gotten wasted" 1 time in the past 12 years..... My kids still remember what an idiot I was so that was enough of that. Plus I felt horrible for about 2 days....
Not sure why but in college it was truely fun to get so wasted that we didn't remember stuff.... wake up in odd places, etc..... luckily we all survived. I worked at a bar so that didn't help.
O ya.... this thread is not my fault....hippy California tree huggers....
