yeah, at our party last month we went through 2 kegs and maybe 4 or 5 bottles with about 80 people or so. people might've gone through multiple cups, i'm not sure.
flippy cup is a lot of fun. card games we play are usually asshole or circle of death...of course the rules change each time, haha. i'm w/c unit on this one...it's just how it is, not that anyone thinks it's cool.
as far as how alcohol is viewed in american culture, i think it's a little interesting. do we have so many alcohol "problems" here because society makes such a big deal of it and how you have to be 21? or is it just how americans are? it's pretty dumb that you can off and go die for your country at 18 but you can't drink. also, why is alcohol legal but not other recreational drugs (weed, mushrooms, E, etc)? makes no sense to me.

Students in the UK seem to have a worse reputation than students in the US interestingly enough, and from my outsiders view it seemed that students and townies took sole blame for the "binge drinking problem" - whereas in the US we tend to pretend (at least on the surface, or where I live) that it isn't a problem by using the 21-yr old age limit as a scapegoat.
Overall, living in between the two my drinking habits changed - I went from drinking less frequently but loads more at a time to much more frequently but much less, moving back to the US I still drank less, but also drank less frequently - hence why I don't drink much at all right now.
However, if I were (or rather, when I do) move back to the UK, I fully expect that I'll spend mosy Sundays in the pub and drink an alcoholic beverage 4-5 times per week, especially if I work in the field I used to (PR).
Flip cup FTW - that is one thing I missed... drinking games - no one in England plays them!!!!
I'm not a beer drinker myself. I like a couple 151's. everyone usually has altleast one to get limber, and then its easy the rest of the night.
Best scene? I'd have to say Austalia. Although I haven't been anywhere of any consequence here in the US. no florida, cali or NY. Just Alabama. And a little ATL, Memphis, and Nashville for flavor.
