It just break my heart to know the last of the Kennedy brothers will go down like this. I saw my grandmother in her final days afflicted with a similar tumor, she was by far the most brilliant person I have ever met. The list of books read in her life could easily fill a library. I just hate to see this happen to him, or anyone else.

He may have done some pretty crappy things in his past, but we all make mistakes. Some of us have much worse mistakes than others, and some of us will end up spending our lives trying to pay for those mistakes.

The one thing you cannot argue with is his record in the Senate. He has consistently been behind or involved in improving the lives of the less fortunate.
So you would say he is almost singlehandedly the guy most responsible for our tax rates and all the inane welfare programs?

I would.

My father was diagnosed with this exact same affliction, I'll never forget the day, Feb 17, 1988. He died in Nov of that year. Having watch his struggles thru those 9 months, my heart goes out to the Kennedy family. Although treatments have come a long way in 20 years, this type of cancer is aggressive and relentless.

I guess that's one way to get a career politician that is stuck in the 60's out of office...who's next??
