I was still sleeping when my brother came in and said a plane crashed into a skyscraper in New York. I was like whatever because it was my b-day and my brother always screws my b-days up. Went back to bed and my brother came back in and said it's on the news now and they have a video. I get out of bed keeping an close eye on my brother so he doesn't throw a pie in my face or something, and then i turn the the tv and see the 747 slam right into the WTC. It was so surreal. It was like a scene from a movie.
I always get up late, but some for strange reason I got up early that morning, got my coffee and decided to check my mail, got on AIM and saw my friend from NY on, she goes to school there. Not knowing what was going on I said "Hi, hows school going" she said "We are under attack" I didnt know what she was talking about, she asked me to turn on my TV, I was in total and compleat shock... I rushed and informed my parents (they were still asleep) about what was going on. I just couldnt believe that something like that was happening on US soil...
Im never going to be able to forget that day...

working. i ran out at 9:30 and drove straight to D.C. b/c i was afraid for my niece (she is in daycare there) and mom. took me 2 hours to get there, with a LOT traffic coming out, but i got a call from my sister saying she already picked them up. drove home and drove right by the pentagon....saw it in flames.
i tried coming back to work, but my office was shutdown for security reasons (our primary contract is with the FAA).

had just woke up.. unemployed at the time.. living w/ the folks.. my mom knocked on the door and said to turn on the tv.. all freaked out saying the trade center had been hit.. turned on the tv.. just in time to see the 2nd plane hit.. it was horrific.. and i had just woken up so it didn't seem real.. i thought i was having some apocolyse-like nightmare
watching people jump.. that has to be the most horrific thing .. the terror and pain from the flames up there so bad up there the better option is to fall to a certain death

I was at work sitting at the computer when my boyfriend called and said a plane had hit the Twin Towers I told him he's lying I then heard it on the radio, ran up to the Employee lounge to see what was going on.. everyone had gathered around it and EVERYONE was freaking out. We had so happen to have our bosses in heading to New York that very day for Meetings with Vendors. When we saw that 2nd plane hit... we started to freak out even MORE! Ran back downstairs called my sis, she wasn't aware of it. I was holding my own. Then when i heard about the Pentagon i called my sis again and she was like "OMG What about Kevin now?" (My bro's who's in the airforce). Thats when I lost total composure, I began to cry and everyone in the office was trying to console me, telling me all will be ok. Of course I wasn't thinking about that, I told 'em I couldn't handle it anymore I had to get out of downtown Miami cause i was worried. I guess everyone else in Downtown thought the same and left as well. I got home and saw the news, was crying even more and couldn't beleive it all. I immediatly went and donated blood. I was soo surprised to see the amount of people who came in to donate blood. I got there and i was on the 2nd page of names, By the time I left (2 hrs after i got there) there was a total of 10 pages!!! of people wanting to give blood. So quickly our nation came together, wanting to help each other out. We were in touch with my bro about at least 5 times that day who assured us that everything was ok and he wasn't going to be called. I had never been so scared, before, but all I can say now is
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!
I was listening to the radio in the car on my way into work. At first I thought it was just a little prop plane that hit, but the radio DJ's were already saying that it was a possible terrorist attack. I called my mother at work and told her what was happening. Then a few minutes later the second plane hit and I knew then that it was serious. Most of my mother's family lives in NJ and NY so she called to make sure everyone was ok. I was at my desk when the Pentagon was hit and flight 93 crashed. It just seemed that it wasn't going to stop. For the rest of the day everyone looked like walking zombies. No one could believe what had happened that morning. I didn't start waking up from that trance until the following weekend. I watched some of the specials on 9/11 last night and my fiance asked me why. I guess I still mourn for all the victims and for the feeling of innocence that was lost that day. My prayers go out to everyone that was affected by 9/11, to the families, to the military now serving, and to our country!
I heard it about 2pm our time at work.
My father was in the air at the time, thankfully he landed safely.
I sat glued to the radio for the rest of the working day, the images and reports coming through were truly terrifiying.
