When I see a guy driving an S, it makes me think 1) he must be good with money because he sure is getting a whole lotta bang for his buck and 2) he's got good taste.

But really... from this girl's point of view... what a guy drives does not make him more "romance" worthy. In fact, I try to stay away from the guys with the super flashy cars because they tend to be either stuck up conceited jerks that believe girls should get on their knees and idolize them... or they are older gentlemen that feel the car will boost their ego and their chances with the ladies. Granted, this doesn't apply to EVERY driver of a flashy car - there are a few exceptions out there, I'm sure.

Not that it matters, but all one has to do is to get her to push the red button, it gets them all the time and they just giggle! I don't know for sure, but wasn't the S2000 the first to use that button? After that I think the luxury cars (Ferrari, Aston Marton, etc.) started to use them. You could also use that as information. Tell them the luxury cars started using it after the S2000, or just start comparing them.

I always tell them the car is an S2000 and move on to a different subject. If she can't figure out it's a Honda on her own, then it's pointless and you might as well move on.

Anyways, it's not the car, it's how damn good you look driving the car (like me). Just kidding, but really, it shouldn't matter what a girl thinks of your car, course if she thinks your car is cool than that's cool. If that's all she cares about, then she's not worth it, or you could take her for a ride and show her that Vtech, bet she'll think differently. Anyways, girls that care that much about what expensive car you are driving are shallow and you might as well just tell her b.s.

Def. a funny thread. Have to agree with Minako's comment regarding bang for buck.

I bought a s2000 b/c I can't afford a F430... yet. Some day...

That said I respect a woman who drives an S2k. My g/f drives an e46 m3, but doesn't get down too well with the S2k. No seat heaters, no power lumbar, no sound deadening, #### it.

Different people buy cars for different reasons-- in LA I can't tell you how many Porsche 911 Turbo tiptronics I see. WTF?

Anyway, this is totally a stream of consciousness rant that probably makes no sense.

BTW, I thought the woman with the C U @ 9k screen name nailed the creativity aspect of my ideal mate. Dope for sure.

One of the better Porsche drivers Hurley Haywood thinks the Tiptronic is a better, faster track package. With the traffic here in SoCal that type of gear box makes sense.

Better for what? Getting around a track faster or being more fun and engaging to drive? That said, everyone is entitled to his/her opinion and if you'd rather drive an tiptronic- go for it. I personally will never understand the attraction.

My commute is boring enough as is in my s2k. Def. no need for an automatic as long as my left leg works.
