Yet he wears protective gear to work in.
is that your auction? pretty lame, but good luck.
I think the rider should have the choice, but also be responsible enough to have $$$ to pay for their vegative state if they **** up......around here (i am in PA also) most sport bike riders wear their helmets and most harley guys do not. Hopefully the helmetless guys have a plan other than let the tax payers pay for their medical bills if they lay in a bed for 30 years.
From what I saw the car was coming towards him, then turned right in front of him.... and this was a pretty low speed accident or he wouldn'thave hit their windsheild..... he would have hit the windshield of a car about 3 blocks down if he was flying (and he would be dead).

and i've noticed the same thing as you.
notice how HE HAS to be different, he is the definition of a squid....
HE GETS ON A HAYABUSA without gear. Hell 99% of the people on 250's I see with gear, let alone one of the fastest production bikes of all time....
it was still the car drivers fault.... he could have been riding a bicycle and the same thing would have happened..... he clearly wasn't going fast or he wouldn't have landed right on the windshield.....so the Hyabusa part is moot in my opinion.
O ya.... have you dumped your R1? i see you have purchased a few parts?
