No hand-brakes. Drive an non-ABS car, and hit the brakes hard -- weight transfers forward and the rear-tires lock up first.

A car under heavy braking will always get the tail loose like you see here -- this guy didn't have the skills to counter the loose tail and ended up in a 180.

My question is, why'd he slam on the brakes so hard in the 1st place? She says later in her post that the guy claimed someone swerved into her lane. I don't see it...

After watching the video a bazillion times, it looks to be a perfect example of someone over-reacting and having ZERO knowledge of how to 'controll' a car. Whats scary, is the number of people driving that posses the same or worse driving knowledge then that individual.

I could rant all day and then some about how we educate drivers in the USA, that is an entire thread/forum of its own

it's a good thing that other people were right there to help her. The 1st 2 people that show up are helpful, but the others coming after are annoying, asking the same questions and getting up in her face.
