Sorry to quash vaccine hopes, but it will take awhile. Good news is that the virus that causes SARS doesn't seem to have mutated much thus far. That makes effective vaccine production far easier. It will still be years, IMO, before a vaccine will be available in the best case scenario. Other good news is that new cases in HK have leveled off, and have decreased in several other places. Bad news is that it hasn't mutated much thus far (unlike some other coronaviruses), as most viruses get less virulent over time, with passage. Other bad news is that the fatality rate may be higher than some thought.
