I picked up half this stuff when I was in high school over 10 years ago, the TV, receiver, and DVD player have been upgraded sense then but its all pretty old but gets the job done. I'll probably pick up a new TV and Blu-ray player in the next year or so (car n motorcycle > home theater). It's all taken appart because I'm in between moves.

Here is the sweetness:

Emerson 20" 4:3 aspect ratio. Saweeeeeet.

Relocated to the other side of the room after some furniture rearrangement over the past couple days:

Sorry for the quality, cell phone pictures. Although that is about the clearest that tv has ever looked...

Cables and wires will be put in the wall but I wasn't sure about the positioning so I never got around to it. Reason I have this lil guy is that I mostly watch TV shows in bed and I don't like the stretch that widescreens give to everything.

Envy me.

Most programming these days is available in HD anyway... even over-the-air stuff, so I don't know why you'd be worried about stretching. Plus... if you have it configured properly, it shouldn't be doing any stretching... you'd just have black bars on the side of SD stuff.

I have a 47" widescreen in my main living room and I deal with the stretching. I'm in a condo so I pretty much only have access to digital cable, and our provider here is horrible for HD programming, plus they're super expensive beyond any other region I've seen or lived in.

As far as the black bars go, I have a bit of a problem with that mentally because I feel like I'm wearing the screen unevenly. It does the trick for bedroom TV entertainment and it shows DVDs just fine as well. If I had a larger bedroom I might upgrade but since it's only several feet from the foot of my bed I live with it. Maybe I'll pick up something better in the future but I'd be more inclined to upgrade the living room first to something of a projector style, a la yours.
