I hope you're not serious. I have no doubt that all of those heinous crimes you mentioned (shootings, etc.) occured between the 30s and 70s. The media is a wonderful illuminator. 
You're telling me that spanking prevents these things? IMO that's a very narrow view on complex social problems.

I think parents had much more influence in their kids lives (in general) Not that they were all more affectionate or loving but they considered their children as and extention of themselves and made them act properly more often then now. Seems now we're either too distracted in ourselves or we don't want to put the effort into it.

perhaps i would have learned more in school if important info was across girls asses. Like sweat pants that say "american revolution-1776". The guys can learn and the girls can have people look at their ass. we all win

THis isn't to repress her discovering her sexuality or stopping her from expressing herself its to help her express herself in a self respecting and appropriate way.
I would never support a law against it because it's a right to be able to wear as little or as much as you want (should be able to walk around naked so long as your not risking health food handling etc..).
What I'm talking about is teaching your daughter desency when shes young.
After you given her the tools and knowledge of how to be decent and basically good THEN you let her go and be whatever she wants AFTER she grows up.
