here's a tip for Sirius....don't pay your on-air personalities millions and millions of $s a year!! it's the fuk'n radio for god sake.
A lot of their personalities also got stock shares when they were hired on. So I'm guessing if it does go into bankruptcy those folks are screwed as well since they are the last to have claim to any assets.

Are you serious? Do you live in some weird alternate reality where music FM channels don't play 25+ minutes of commercials every hour?
The average is 12 minutes. I've never come across an FM station that plays more than 16 minutes an hour. Talk radio may dive into a few more but even they won't do anything near 25.

Blockbuster
Blockbuster deserves to go out of business. About two months ago, I actually rented a movie for my daughter (I think it was "Tinkerbell" or something). Anyways, it was a new release and it was nearly $6 to rent!

Not that I'm a big customer (two movies a year, maybe) but still, I couldn't believe how expensive they were. The last time I went, it was at least under $5 (which was still too much).

Apparently those RedBox things at WalMart are way cheaper, especially if you return quickly. I'll never go to Blockbuster again.

Sirius also has a much broader selection of music choices than FM gives you. I use my ipod too, but sometimes it's nice to not have to search out new music and then buy it to put on my ipod.
i'll admit i've never really listened to satellite radio...only briefly. but our FM stations here in Philly suck! i enjoy the morning talk shows but for music, forget it! they don't play any new music unless its U2 or RHCP, so it's the same crappy music over and over. i'd rather open the window in my car and listen to the air rushing by. if i like it, i put it on my iPod playlist.

Yeah, I got sick of music radio a long time ago, and I used to work in radio.

Why did I stop listening? When I listened to a rock station (AOR or album oriented rock as it's called), they'd play that rap-rock shit (kid rock, linkin park, etc.) or white-boy rap (beatie boys) or lame rock like nickelback.

When I listened to classic rock, practically all I'd hear is leonard skynnard, molly hatchett or the same tired zepplin song over and over.

I got fed up with it so I started listening to CDs, my MP3 player and Music Choice (music channels on cable and internet). Now, I only listen to radio for traffic and weather. Sad but true.

Part of that is because of the owner of the radio stations are big media companies like Clear Channel, Viacom, etc. who program each genre with the same shit. What listeners in Peoria like can be different from those in Boston, DC, Atlanta, etc.

I've been trying to cancel my Serius subscription for the past 6 months but every time I call to cancel they always give me 3 more months for free...

So true.....bad taste killed radio.

Why listen to radio when you can bring your whole CD collection on your iPod and plug it into the car.
