Urmil, I'm sorry for coming on so strong, but I feel that this entire topic has been beaten into the dirt something like 5 pages ago in a thread in Site Information.
No one should fear banishment on this board as long as they are acting with respect and tolerance of other members and their opinions. Provokation of another member just sucks, and that's something we saw with Bieg's behavior many, many times. Though I've never met Cthree or Krazik personally, I've dealt with them enough to know that any decision such as the one to ban Bieg is a HUGE deal, not something that they address after a case of beer or while chuckling like Beavis and Butthead. Since this site began NINE months ago, only one member has faced this punishment and it was for extreme behavior.
Cthree took measures long before banning Bieg to try to resolve this problem. Banishment IS the last resort. Many come to this board with passion; MOST are able to express that passion within socially acceptable limits that never require any admonishment from the administration of this board. I DO believe that Bieg was the exception from the rule by virtue of his own behavior. There are a lot of people on this board with similar personalities and even similar opinions, but they are able to express it all in a manner that isn't inflammatory to the point of closing threads left and right.
I don't believe that Cthree's decision was unjust or unforeseeable. I DO hope that given all of the heat he is receiving that he doesn't just decide to unplug it all and put the server into cold storage! Having read of the financial and mental costs of running this board, now harassment of the members for how he chooses to run it, I wouldn't be shocked or angry if he did pull the plug on it all.
Urmil, I hope to be back up there sometime this summer; perhaps I can get some libations and you can concoct more of those drinks you made in Asheville? That would be cool and worthy of some Beavis and Butthead style chuckles!

I never posted anything about this but I am also against banning Bieg or any other members(if they are not trolls).
With all the respect to C3 and others who have done a wonderful job with S2ki, I do not agree with the posts saying that this board belongs to this individual and he does whatever he wants. I see myself as a part of the board with 3499 other members and cannot accept such an argument saying that I am just a small individual who does not have any rights or etc.. Without the contribution this board is nothing.
Flame me if you want to and before you suggest or tell me so, I am not going anywhere or planning to leave this board no matter what.

I am willing to financially contribute my share of responsibility.

The members of the board are incredibly respectful of both me and the policy I set forth. I fully expect that if I say "no more" that I wont be challenged on it.

Ahh yes, I remember that incident well. Boy was I mad. Still am I guess, but it just goes to show you, The member came back, there have been no more problems, and him and I stay on opposite sides. If Bieg was able to do this then he wouldn't have been banned would he?
I learned along time ago there were consequences to my actions, I deal with it and accept it. Its so simple, I'm shocked that this is continuing. But that's the last word from me.
