Back when I had my first S2000, I was just leaving my house to go to work (starbucks). I was 17 at the time. And as I come to the stop sign, I see a cop off to my right on a 4 way stop. We got there at the same time, but being the good man I am () I wave the cop before me.. but he refuses.. not even a signal. So after about 15 seconds I take off normally. He comes right behind me and pulls me over.

Asks for my license, and where I live. I tell him (address on my license wasn't current), and then had to explain to him why it wasn't current -_-. He says "do you know why I pulled you over?" I say "no". He says "you have no front plate". I say "oh" (of course I knew what the law was). And then I ask (while he's still holding my license) "do you need my insurance too?" and he says "oh.... no I don't need it" I look at him puzzled, as I see him looking through my car (the top was down). And he says "i'm giving you a warning, get it fixed" and he leaves after handing my license back.

wtf? In california, cops LOVE to give out those tickets.. helps their quota, and costs me ten whole dollars plus a trip the the ref. BUt why didn't he give it to me? Because I was young in a sports car. He probably figured I was dumb enough to have drugs out in plain sight . Thank god I never got into that stuff

 

hey guess what? i got pulled over last night too but i got a ticket for going 83 in a 55 when i'm sure that wasn't even true...he was ticketing someone else at the time i passed him. then he comes up out of nowhere, just says he pulled me over for speeding, asked for the usual and then came back with a ticket.

Your Accountant's HOLIDAY party was on January 10th! WTF?? I know accountants are penny-pinchers, but damn, waiting til AFTER the holidays to have a holiday party goes beyond penny-pinching. That's CHEAP!

I don't think much of it, because the past 4 years, my company has always had their holiday party after new years. however, this year, we didn't get one....

as for my account, they all bitched about it being after new years, and how silly it was. I just told them its probably cheaper that way, which it is....
