Gee Richard, last year I sold one of my houses that was pretty darned nice for $87,000. Three bedroom, two full baths, 26 x 30ft greatroom with fenced backyard on a one plus acre lot in a nice area. Oh, and I could drive a golf ball onto a green from the driveway. 10 minutes from the beach, 3 minutes from a mall. All this and only 2057 miles from Irvine!

hahahahaha.

In the exact same boat. I considered even further up the 15 up above norco where you get more for less, but it's still too much and you have to take the 91.

irvine a friend just got a 1 br 900sqft for 200k. which isn't pricey but it's pretty small.

the places ur talking about sound like the ones off of sand canyon or whatever, with the monster staircases right inside the entry door. Atleast those didn't appear badly built tho.

HB has real cheap areas, right next to that train track

Man, you people need to move to Eastern Canada. For $100K USD, you could easily get 2000 sq. ft on a 1/4 acre lot. For $200K USD, you could get 2500+ sq. ft. on an acre lot on the water (lake or ocean).

Those prices are insane (in SoCal).

I didn't get that one about Fresno - I suppose it has something to do with pollution?

I'm starting to look at Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, and Tustin...

If you got any recommendations please let me know...
