i didn't notice but i guess i parked in front of a cab pick up space only (ok...sure....remember this is cleveland, not NY)......but no prob...if i did i will pay my fine...but why did the police officer think it was ok to hand write $50 next to the violation circled when it was under the $20 fine catagory.....so i tried to call the # on the ticket and you can only reach a machine....if you wanted to dispute this you have to set up a trial...what a PITA.....i just sent in a check for $20 and an attached letter.....never heard anything back and they cashed the check so i guess that cop was just in a bad mood and didn't like the S

maybe the fines were increased and the citation form is old?? dunno. just an idea. i imagine there's a reason he did it other than a bad day.

hope the letter works, though!

 

i'm assuming that the letter did work cause this was about a month ago.......but old citation form....highly doubt it.

just a thought. i've seen it on citations before and it was what came to mind first.

be careful assuming the letter worked--they might be adding penalties or something. all's fair in love and local gov't!
