Wow man, well all I can say is you conducted yourself better then I would have, good for you . I'm afraid things would have got physical as soon as he went for the door handle on my car, or if I missed that opportunity and found him in the front seat already, then I would have proceeded to grab him by the hair and yank him out and drag him off into the middle of the lot where I proceed to rest my foot on his throat wile I call the cops.

I hope there weren't ANY scratches done to your car. Little things matter.

You handled that very well...you have absolutely no idea how anyone on drugs might react to what you do or say. I congratulate you on the way you handled it!

Now let us know what happened with the S!

you have a lot of patience... I would have dealt with him a different way right... especially if he got inside the car.
Things would definitely gone a different route if I had been armed, or he had threatened me or my wife. In the end, I think the guy was strung out and just looking to cause enough trouble that he would be taken to jail.

Haltom City, just off Beach St.

He sat in the car for all of 30 seconds before I got him out. We went over the car carefully and nothing was damaged, still it's not a good feeling having some complete stranger jump into your car.
Tough part of town. Glad it all worked out well.

lmao damn. Hopefully they actually took him to jail and not JPS (the psych ER in Fort Worth.) I work at the psych ER in Dallas, so he wouldn't come to us as Haltom is too far from there, but seriously, we have druggies call the cops on themselves all the time to get taken to my work so they can get out of the cold / get free meals / get meds to knock them out while they are detoxing.

If the person has any psych history at all, he will probably end up at JPS for a couple days, all charges dropped and then back out on the streets.

That's the direction I'm leaning to as well. I did check the connections and cables briefly, there is no corrosion visible, and the cables were snug.

I'm hoping to get some time this weekend to work on it, I'm just hoping it something simple.

I grew up in the area, and never had any issues... but over the last few years its definitley started to go down hill. We're looking into moving to a better area of the metroplex ASAP.
