Default Someone keeps calling my cell! And no one answers

I got a new cell number about a month ago. In the last three days I've received repeated phone calls from a single phone number to my cell. I get calls anytime during the day, even at 4am. (shit..i'm getting one right now...no kidding).

Anyway, when I pick up no one answers. Most of the time it rings twice and I miss the call. When I call back I get a voicemail saying "hi...you've reach (425) 744.8001, leave a message and we'll call you back".

I've left voice mails telling them to stop calling me. Now that number seems to call me more frequently. I'm pretty sure it's some automated deal.

I've contacted Seattle Police, and they've been surprisingly helpful. They contacted the Edmunds police and they have no record of this number...so no physical address. They've also found another record of someone else getting text messages all the time from this number.

What in the world is this...and how do I stop it!

what if the police called you back and said "the calls are originating from inside your home" (insert sudden, scary music)

If it continues just change numbers, it's free(well last time I checked) with Cingular. I had issues with a certian person calling, I changed numbers twice in 2 months b/c of it.

Now if your like my mother who lives on her cell phone due to business and just about
anyone in this area can recall it by heart then changing numbers is a bad idea

Oh this just hit me, if your phone is remotely new,
1. Save the number as a Contact Name:ie "Don't Answer"
2. Then "Edit" the Contact and Assign it a Ringtone
3. Assign it "Silent or Vibrate" and at least it won't bother you just a missed call with out the hassle
