Default VoIP Broadband Phone services

Just as the title reads.

What's your feedback in terms of quality, service, price, quirks etc.... List the services you know of or have experience with.

Here are a few I found that I'm considering.

I have vonage. Good service. Decent price.

Currently designing and implementing a VOIP solution for a major carrier. Not sure how well theirs will turn out.

Funny thing is that your name popped into mind when posting this.

Any feedback?

Vonage seems to be the one that sticks out but Lingo has been advertising like crazy as well and from a price standpoint, looks to be cheaper...dollar for dollar. Haven't done my due dilligence yet other than this initial feedback here so going off price initially.

What service are you working with if you don't mind me asking? We can chat on PM if that's better.

I also noticed that Verizon has a service out too.

That's interesting to hear. Wonder why that might be and if that's common. Steve C, have you had this problem too?

Keep the feedback rolling in folks.

Vonage rocks, plain and simple. I do have a regular line as back-up incase of 911, cable failures, or power outages but I still save big time plus I turned my standard in to a fax line.

Cool. I have a cell phone for the alternate line in case of those power/cable failures. I'm planning on using it over cable modem as well. As far as the 911 issue, I understand that's changing soon too for most providers but hopefully will never need to use that service.

Vonage is offering 911 service btw
