I'm going to wait at least when Gran Turismo Mobile is out for it.

I read rumors about a GPS accessory? Any truth to that?

PS2 sold out at christmas because when they switched from producing the old ones to the new slim lines, production was cut for a while and had to take time to get up to full speed. Supply of units on hand dried up. There would not have been a shortage had they just kept production of the old units.

That is not to say there might not be a shortage of these at Christmas though. If I had a job with lots of time spent on a plane I would sure buy one. But I bought the PS2 at the initial release at a price of $300. For me, if I was gonna buy one I would wait for a year until the first $50 price drop and then pick one up. At that time there would be plenty of software for it too, but I don't want one that bad. They sure are neat though.

Yeah, I picked mine up during lunch time at Fry's here in San Diego. They had about 120 available. When I got there there wasn't a line or anything. However, I just checked on eBay and there's a bunch listed there for very good prices. Check there if you're interested and want to pick one up for a decent price.
