Another "reason" that they call it a WayGuh could be that don't want to have it confused with the late Chevy with the 4 cylinder aluminum block with
zinc (or something weird) plated cylinder walls that the pistons will eventually do their own Boring job on and that it is only slightly smaller than.........

Yeah, people working for not much more than minimum wage at electronic stores are the real authority. After working at Best Buy for a couple of years in college, the fact that you say they pronounce it Way-guh is proof enough for me that it should be pronounced Vay-guh.

Bottom line, it is pronounced Vay-guh.

I think I agree on calling it "vay-guh"...

dude, WAY-guh just sounds retarded!

I remember when Chrysler came out with the Eagle Talon years ago...someone actually pronounced it "tuh-LON" (emphasis on the second syllable).

I just bought a brand new HI-DEF 34in Widescreen VEGA and in the owners manuel it says "Bla Bla Bla Sony Wega (pronounced Ve-ga)" It looks like a W on the box because its a shadow of the V as previously stated. Anyone who tells you different is wrong. Go to CKT City and ask to see the owners manuel for any Vega and thumb throught it, if memory serves me its on the first few pages.

End of disussion
