I got about 3 friends staying at my house tonight cause they had to be evacuated, well got them all real drunk to ease their minds.

Sorry for everyone near the fire i went through it few years ago had to evacuate, i wish everyone in So-Cal that your houses and your S2K's are OK!

I hate this time of year!

As I was leaving my hotel this morning in Fullerton I saw a thing on the news about a fire in Malibu. Driving back down, there was some smoke but it cleared up.

Then on the 78E towards the 15S I started noticing more smoke.

I went to the Amnesty International event at Oceanside Pier, it was outdoors and the air sucked.

I dropped off my friend just a little while ago at his house, opened the door, he got out, closed the door, and it was already unbearable. Went home, parked my car and held my breath all the way to the door. Now I'm drinking lots of water.

I think this topic should be moved elsewhere to a more suited genre..

So I guess it made it's way toward me afterall..there's a fire (or several) in RB -Westwood area... that's like 2-4 miles from my neighborhood, which is west of Rancho Bernardo... and the wind is blowing 80 mph WEST. Gay.

well, i'm waiting for the fire dept. to knock on my door anytime now to evacuate. There's like mad traffic in every direction so, I don't see the point of staying home in one spot or getting in my car and driving 20 yards to stay in one spot....

I haven't decided if I want to drive or not.. I hope my s doesn't burn

great.. I'm going to miss lecture today!!! OMG!!!

anywho... I'm just waiting....... I didn't pack anything cause it all seems trivial now in the scheme of things.

This bites.

It's probably best to start packing the important things that you can grab since it is getting close to your neighborhood.

I'm sure many places in San Diego look similar to 4S Ranch right now. It looks bad outside and the smoke somehow is creeping into the house.

Good luck out there. I guess I'll be working from home today to stay off the road and just be on stand by in case it spreads closer to this side.
