At work yesterday, outside having a smoke, one of the top brass walking down the walk towards the parking lot pauses with a big smile and says to me: "How do you like your car?" I've never really had occasion to talk to this person, except re:work maybe once a year ago, so I am able to only make a sound....kind of like I just ate something really good....and say I love it or something. Then the high ranking official says "I've got a Miata at home. I'll bring it in one day." I am again speechless. A long pause, and he starts to walk away toward his car saying things like how nice mine looks etc. and all I come up with is: "11:1 power ratio"...which left him speechless or confused or maybe scared of me. I then noticed him looking at my car down in the lot before he got in his Beemer or whatever. Awkward, strange,.... MIATA? What could I say??????

 

You should have said "Why in God's green earth is a man of your power, reputation, and financial resources driving a piece of crap, tin, wind up toy Miata?"
