Not saying what the actual amount of income is, but my split on living it up, car and savings is about ....

Living it up - 30%
Car - 20%
Savings - 50%

That's of available cash after tax, bills, rent etc. paid out.

However I am late 30's so need to be thinking more about my future ...

r8's dont come in convertibles yet. i guess im just not into cars like some of you are. money spent on cars seems like a big waste after a certain point.

i was more interested in fun stuff outside the car world. but keep the fun coming.

Cool

[QUOTE=dyhppy,Jul 23 2008, 01:36 PM] if you dont have any ideas to contribute, it isn't necessary for you to say, "figure it out yourself."

Primo, why does it matter to you so much? that info ought to be irrelevant in a hypothetical.

For some reason, I forgot that $5,000 limit.

I'd go buy an F430...spend $3K/month on payment, and probably the other $2K on insurance...That's assuming an insurance company would actually cover me.

It doesn't matter to me...that's the point...the topic is not even a topic.

The info i asked for would have given perspective on where the "big Spender" was at in his life to be able to determine how much of the 5k he is going to snort of the hookers hip.

if it is a truly hypothetical question why not make it 10K or 50K per month. Lets buy some really big hypothetical garbage

I guess the question is moot for most of us, because most of us dont have even close to 5k per month of totally expendable cash.

I would not know what to spend it on because every bone in my body would be screaming to put that amount of money to WORK for me, acquiring more financial security with those funds.

So my answer to this hypo-question is nothing. i would spend it on nothing and put as much of it as possible in a myriad of mutual and ira funds.

I dont find the use of topics like this because it is either someone saying look at me and how much money I have or it is a "what if" scenario that no one can answer honestly.

This, to me, is just like that "How long could you go on for without an income" thread. Whippty F'in Doo that some people could go 500 years before they HAD to get a job. What is the point???

great "JHoNn_DoE2KBaller" has X amount of money...great, that does not affect me one bit.

what idiot, making enough money to clear 5k of free money per month, would go and spend every bit of it on cars, hookers, whatever....hmmm?
