wow, im sorry i hit a sensitive spot for you. didn't mean to.

where in all this is anyone saying "oo look at me, i have x amount of money."

the point of the thread is to see if anyone has interesting semi-realistic ideas on what to spend money on. if that sounds pointless and stupid, then so be it.

i understand what you mean by saving the money in retirement funds, but what would u do with those saved funds once you are forced to use them?

I am not sensative to the subject ...I just think the question either 1. seems like you may want to toot your own horn if it is a real scenario or 2. is a LA-LA LAND pipe dream that no one can answer because we are not faced with that kind of a situation.

If you dont see my point on this, another 6 paragraphs on the subject is not going to change anything.......

Yeah...but we never know how long we have here...know what I mean. So experiencing LIFE...you know, LIVING LIFE is not a bad idea either.

You can't take the money with you.
I couldn't agree more. Some people seriously seem to forget about this. Yes, once I am older and have kids I will want to leave them a lot. However, you can't neglect the journey it takes to get there. Gotta live it up if you have the chance. You only get one shot.

nobody is tooting their own horn.

are you saying that you've never enjoyed discussing with your friends what you would do if you had more money?

and you still haven't answered what you would do once you're forced to take the savings out.

[QUOTE=PrimoGen,Jul 27 2008, 01:44 AM]
I would not know what to spend it on because every bone in my body would be screaming to put that amount of money to WORK for me, acquiring more financial security with those funds.

So my answer to this hypo-question is nothing.
