the biggest difference between analog and digital(current sprint, verizon , etc...) is that digital can carry about 10 times the calls for the same bandwidth... if they had not gone digital, they would have run out of bandwidth by now... at least this is what I was told by an engineer designing the PCS Primeco network in 96'.

That and digital calls cannot be scanned. CDMA is the current, but I would love to see the US go GSM, those phones have a smart chip that can be moved from phone to phone, so if your phone died, you pull the card and put it in the new phone... instantly programmed and retains your phone book.

I used Sprint until a few weeks ago and found the service to be pretty good. However they put a $500 charge onto my bill that isn't mine and I haven't gotten resolved (their customer service is horrible.. just awful) to this point (been about 4-5 months). If other people are reporting similar problems I'd just stay away from them altogether. F*ck 'em.

I've had nothing but problems with Sprint. Dropped calls, messy bills....

Stay away from Sprint!
