Default the spying virus - Magic Lantern

This might be old news, but.. The FBI has developed a virus, dubbed 'Magic Lantern,' which arrives on a victim's computer in the form of a virus through email or well-known vulnerabilities. Magic Lantern uses keylogging to extract keys typed in, and sends them off to the FBI.

I never open any email unless I recognize the sender.

What email program do you use?

With Outlook, it's inevitable for the emails to open.

This is an older thread but I just noticed it...

A virus is spread via email by an attachment which no email software including Outlook opens automatically. Outlook and other email software can show a "preview" of the contents of an email but that's not going to infect your system with a virus stashed in an attachment.
