How do I go about starting a children's charity for homeless and abandoned children in 3rd world countries?

Google or Christian Charities I would think. My dad is big on donating to christian charities. You can find statistics online about like how much money the corporation keeps of the money you donate and how much they give to the people who need it I believe.

I'm looking to start a foundation, not donate to one (though I have been for many years).
