Steve Irwin has died...
Very sad. I was actually in a foul mood today. I have always been a big fan, and thought he genuinely cared about what he did. He made me laugh a lot of times, and I will miss his antics. The only saving grace is that he died doing what he loved.
RIP mate...

RIP mate...

I found this floating around the internet...

I think Steve Irwin would be laughing now if he saw this cartoon. This is how I remember the man, always smiling and laughing; he had a great sense of humor.

There will never be another Steve Irwin. I love his shows and really wanted to visit his zoo over the summer while I was in Australia. Truly unfortunate... I too had a really bitter feeling after hearing of the incident. A man who seemed almost invincible has met his fate.
I guess he pulled the barb out after the hit. Sadly, he had just enough time to know what had happened to him before he died, but at least he passed quickly.
Say whatever you want about his antics, his choices (the incident with Bob in the croc farm...), etc., but he should be remembered for the interest he created in many of the not-so-cute animals in this world. People always rally to save the cute critters, but few pay much mind to snakes, spiders or crocs. Steve's inimitable persona generated huge interest in the study and conservation of less appealing creatures.
He'll be missed.
