Interesting article about it, from 2007.

http://articles.sfgate.com/2007-11-11/livi...ork-sticker-cap

FWIW pt2, I also tend to leave factory screen protectors on electronics I've purchased for as long as possible. And my several year old TV still has the removable 1080P sticker. Reminds me of the guy who purchased an S2000 and told the dealership to leave the white shipping cover thingies on the car. (He took them off and washed the car himself when he got it home. )

So personally, I have zero issue with the act itself of leaving stickers on whatever. It's something I do myself. The fact that it's a trend - meh, who cares, doesn't effect me in any way.

i thought it was part of the "fresh" tend. the hat is so new and clean that it still has the tag on it.... sorta like having new clean shoes. or "ethnic" people wearing white tee shirts just once and tossing it out after they're done.

I know some people who've had their hats for months or years and still have the sticker, so it's not being "fresh", just being a poser.

I have an original Bullets hat with tags and stickers...no I am not of african decent; yes I wear the hat...mainly keep them on for the collectable appearance although the hat is pretty dirty.

**On a side note; Ted Leonsis is getting them back to red, white, and blue...so hopefully they will return to the Bullets name and make the hat a decent collectable hat.

Haha I leave my stickers on my hats. I also occasionally wear it tilted to the side. I guess that makes me that "certain" type of person but I could give a damn less what others think.

I love seeing those types of hats come into my bar, I make them bend the brim before they enter...

Yeah, but since you're in this thread, care to enlighten us on why you leave the stickers on and wear it tilted to the side?

PS- did you mean you "couldn't give a damn less what others think?" I'm confused as to whether a damn is, or is not given...

Because I like the way I look with my hat tilted. I take the price tag off but leave the new era and official mlb stickers on. I do use them to take the hat on and off in case my hands are dirty or my hands are sweaty. I prefer the way it looks with those two on also. I wonder why people bend the bill of their hats. I think that ruins the hat personally. Do I really care tho, no. I don't give a damn about what others think. Sorry for being unclear.

Bending the bill angles it better so it blocks more sun (the real intent of a hat.) Doesn't matter so much when the sun is above you, but when it is coming from the sides it helps. I feel like it makes it fit better too since it forms around your head a bit more, but maybe I'm crazy.
