Default STINKY watches

Hello fellow s2kers and especially to all watcher wearers. I am experiencing a slight odor when wearing my watch (stainless steel) for a period of time, the smell is similar to a damp towel. Anyone wearing a watch have this similar problem? Is there anything to do to lessen or at best, eliminate this foul smell besides not wearing it at all? All inputs appreciated!!!!!!

I'm guessing the smell is your sweat...

Um, do you ever wash your watch? Cause that might help. Wash your socks too...

your sweat's Ph sounds highly acidic. I can only wear SS, Ti and gold watches because my sweat with eat right into other metals. Most fossils and other lesser watches are out for me.

I suggest cleaning your watch very well and then maybe removing the watch when you know you will be sweating under it. beyond that you could maybe try a powder or maybe some deoderant in the area where the watch lives on your arm. This may cause irritation though so be careful

clean your band preferably in something antibacterial that won't mess up the finish of the watch. It's just your body flora making a nice stinky mess under the nice warm watch and band.

that and when you shower or wash your hands all that gunk getting caught up in it.

I help out at our family business (jewelry store) on weekends and we do watch batteries and watch repair, i swear some people out their are just nasty with their watches, i hate opening the ones that people wear everyday and never take off, layers of dry skin pop off getting that back off it's disgusting!

Most people I know have more than 3 watches anyways, please put them in rotation.
