Default Stolen converter!

My mom parks in a park and ride and rides the bus to DC, while she was at work some a$$ hole stole conveters off of 3 Suv's in the parking lot here escape included......I know gas is getting expensive but wow.....I had to drive a half hour to the park and ride and tie the rest of the cat back up off the ground so she could get it home......I put a Magnaflow muffler on a while back to improve gas mileage and now she has a custom made test pipe Just welded a strait piece of pipe in where the cat used to be...... Sounds neat for a Ford

Has this happened to anyone else......?

It's been an issue for sure. Catalytic converters have precious metals in them, used to break down the pollutants, that are worth some money. They are rather easy to just cut off from cars that don't need to be lifted up, so they're the best options. Sorry about the car.

Just around the area I work in, Central PA, there was a string of thefts even at our lot. Most of them were trucks since they are easy to get under. We had a few cut off in the back lot, but these guys hit the mother load at a local junk yard that just had them laying in a large pile. Come to find out it was a large group of hispanics from the area that took them all
