Stolen Identity
So someone stole my identity. Getting calls from dealerships, loan offices, directtv, terminx, etc. Already called all the appropriate parties. After researching I found that many ppl were hit by this. The below fraudulent charges are all related to some saudi phone service company. Mainly calling cards. Typically shows up as ~$80 charges on your account. These people have gone on a huge shopping spree. Related to godaddy.com/paypal.com. I think they had a security breach. Just a heads up.

I have records of several online puchases and I am trying to get the police department to get the companies to report the IP address of the computer that made the charges. I know they card processor servers have a log of this information. Hopefully the criminal doesn't have something that scrambles his IP or whatever. This sucks...

Looks like it hit godaddy and paypal equally.
Here are a couple links where ppl have posted the same kind of fraudulent acitivity as I am having. Looks like one person or one group is hacking into these systems and stealing everyone's info. I called to have my paypal account cancelled, however they still keep records of my information. So that basically means my $hit is still up for grabs....wtf

i just cancelled my paypal account. i never use it anyway. just log into the account, then in one of the tabs, you can select "close account." you have to verify your credit card that they have on file, but it said when the account is closed it erases all the history.

Sorry to hear that
I was an identity theft victim three years ago. I had to call all my credit cards company to alert them. The cops told me I was lucky to find out after only three months. They said sometimes it takes years for victims to find out that their identity were stolen. I went to open a Tmobile account and the sales person told me that I already have an account opened. I was shocked to see a copy of my ID with some stranger's photo on it. They basically opened four lines so they can get the cell phones for free. It was a nightmare and wish this won't happen to anyone. Hope everything works out for you!
