The S4 was sweet. What a quiet car!! Had real good pull, and we were up to 100 and it was so smooth. Totally different from our cars, but I wouldn't trade ours for anything.

Years ago when I worked for Ford I found there was a wide range of performance between differant examples of the same
model. Comes down to build quality and luck. If you happen to get alot of "good" parts in your car you would be surprised at the differance it can make. I'm sure somewhere there is a "fast" stock S2K that can run with a "slow" LS1.

Now remember, with most ls1s you can miss a shift and still pull a 14.0.
