Been there, done that too. In all fairness to the Cobra
people, the Cobras that have had the "fix" are probably
a scootch faster then our cars.

You don't like the way the back of an F-body looks?

You should hear it in person. Chris had to go to his garage neighbor's apartment to get their garage key because he forgot his at work. They are an elderly couple and the woman yelled at him and told him to fix his car, it's too loud, wakes everybody up at night!!

The S4 was sweet. What a quiet car!! Had real good pull, and we were up to 100 and it was so smooth. Totally different from our cars, but I wouldn't trade ours for anything.

I read a Honda publication that specified the S2000 0-60 at 5.5, but I also read a editors test that put it at 5.3 and another at 5.8.

If you lined up 100 S2000's and had a "robotic" driver that could test each car equally, you would probably find that they would produce a range of 0-60 times.

Years ago when I worked for Ford I found there was a wide range of performance between differant examples of the same
model. Comes down to build quality and luck. If you happen to get alot of "good" parts in your car you would be surprised at the differance it can make. I'm sure somewhere there is a "fast" stock S2K that can run with a "slow" LS1.

Yes, it would be close but the LS1 will still be faster. The only way an s2k would beat an lS1 is if the LS1 drivers sucks and his car is slow and the s2k driver is damn good.

Now remember, with most ls1s you can miss a shift and still pull a 14.0.

side note.. this past weekend.. i was in my buds lt1 trans am and a brand new ram air trans am w/ what looked like a 16yr old behind the wheel wanted to race.. this kid mis-shifted just about every gear.. you could see the car kick back and jump forward everytime he shifted.. we won due to his bad driving.. but barely by about half a car length.
