Stupid Kid
4 days alone for an 11 year old had to be pretty tough. I have an 11 year old, and I am not sure what the hell he would be doing for that long.
I got lost mt. biking about a year ago....it was pretty shitty.... i got a flat so i had to walk...which completely f;d me up since I am used to riding..... i turned somewhere and after about an hour i ended up completely on the wrong road. Ended up riding my rim to my house and going back for my truck later that day.

I moved from Chicago to Salt Lake City about a year ago. This time of year, people get lost all the time up there, it's the only thing on the news, besides Mormon stuff. Kids seem to go missing all the time in Utah. People just aren't too bright around here, based from my own observations.

So true. I had the distinct misfortune of having to drive through that hellhole several years ago. We needed to eat and stopped at a Sizzler's and it was being manned by the banjo tard from Deliverance and his sisters. All I wanted was a grilled cheese sandwich, and it was literally frightening how difficult it was for them to figure it out.
We stopped at a burger king, and everyone was staring at us like we just came from a different world. Everyone's foreign accent didn't exactly help much either. Felt like the U.N. just dropped a bomb or something..

Oh damn! I expereienced the exact same thing, but even worse. Imagine this situation: There were 5 of us: 1 asian dude, 1 tall lanky german dude, 1 israeli dude, 1 asian/white (me), and 1 white dude from minnesota.

(try making a patty melt but stick the meat on your sister's elongated forehead and keep it there till we're gone)

excel, it is clear you have little experience in a rugged wilderness area like where this kid was lost. Within a few miles, a kid could be over a ridge, down in a ravine, and essentially invisible to all. Not every community has search planes and helicopters armed with the latest and best technology, ready to roll at the drop of a hat. If you'd like to fund such projects, you'd likely find all the takers you can handle. Why don't you get on that ASAP
