Sun poisioning?!? WTF!! Medical experts help!!!
i have the same problem - has persisted ever since i bought my S in early 2000 and never gone away. both my forearms have semi-rashes when i get exposed to the sun and itches like crazy if i get prolonged sun exposure. never went to see a doc about this, but maybe i should.
If it's sun poisoning, I don't think there's much that can be done.
Keep drinking lots of water - you don't want to become dehydrated & have your skin dry out (which will lead to flaking and peeling).
If you can, put a lotion or moisturizer on the area to soothe it and help keep the skin moist. If it hurts too much to rub lotion on, you can use on of those sunburn sprays (like Solarcaine).
An anti-inflammatory (like Advil) can help if you're in pain.
Could the "acne" you describe really be blisters that have developed?
Oh yeah, a cold compress (or even just a wash-cloth that's been dipped in cold water & then squeezed out) can feel good if you lay it on the burned area.

OK, here's an answer to some questions. No I'm not on any medication (although I probably should be
). I rarely take any pain relievers as they arent good for kidneys.
As for lotion, I actually used this one that was prescribed for my hubby as an alergic reation to a chemical at his work. It got rid of it in a day but also made my skin extremely pale I had to use foundation!! (For men, foundation is a face creme that adds natural color to your face).
I'll try and get a pic real quik.

OK, I did some looking and this is what I found (sorry, no pic)
[QUOTE]"Sun poisoning" is a term used to describe second-degree burns to the skin
due to overexposure to solar radiation; in other words, sunburn that starts
to blister.
