Surround Sound question?

Default Surround Sound question?

I just got a new tv and a surround sound system tv is a toshiba 52 inch.The surround sound is a LG.The problem is whenever i play music on my cpu or when i watch Tv.The sound that comes from the surround sound is delayed from the tv so it kinda sounds like your playering two different songs.Its about a second delayed anyone have any ideas?

There is often a delay option which can allow for changes in room size.

Yeah, what ImportSport said. Look at the manual for the reciever. I had a Sony Reciever that had the delay for room size. But I could never get the delay to be noticable, I think in my case it was a gimmick, but in your case it works, but you don't want it to.

Any decent receiver should have an adjustment as described by above posters.

With a surround system, you should turn your TV speakers off.
