I'd tend to believe him.. I was shocked when he said that you couldn't survive on nothing but rabbit meat.

Yeah, you have to eat the eyes and livers, and all fat.

I love that show. The toughest element he has to deal with is the extra 100lbs of camera crap and setting all that up.

I want to see some new episodes, maybe one where he has an injured partner or cant use his multi-tool.

i think it would be cool to see him land on an island with a bunch of ancient amazon women. he would have to fight them to the death and maybe end up fornicating with one of them.

DOH! no more day dreaming, time to get back to work.

That is one of my favorite shows. It is on during primetime on the National Geographic Channel Friday nights and usually plays during the day on weekends.

Les Stroud rocks! He is pretty hilarious as well as smart/knowledgeable.

p.s. It's "only" 50 pounds of camera equipment. He has a bunch of different cameras and tripods. One of them is some apparatus that wrapts around his waist with an arm that sticks out so he can film himself up close waling around.

He gets dropped off somewhere for 7 days. He has to build shelter with what is there where he is or, as someone else mentioned, with a piece of broken down equipment left with him.

He is a badass and it is a cool show but he doesn't know everything himself. If you have seen his "behind the scenes" episode it shows how he spends some time with a local expert in each place before he goes solo. Finds out what plants you can eat/what you can catch to eat/what sort of shelter to make, etc.

He is still a badass though. Just has a bit of local help for each one.

I love that show. Sometimes I think if he had to make it for eight days, there would be a problem Definitely one I have on the TIVO all the time.
