Default switching phone with verizon

my mom needed a new phone so i bought one for her on ebay. being an at&t customer, i know nothing about verizon except she said she didnt have a sim card.
She had a razr phone, i got her another one. So question is,....how does she get the phone to work when she gets it?????? I only know about swapping sim cards and its simple. does she have to go to verizon to have them program it to work with her new phone?????

Or you can go to Verizonwireless.com and register your mother's line. Then you can do it all online.

Calling is probably faster! hahaha

The only way it wil work if it is still an active phone. My wifes Phone was stolen. Soon a guy in another state called her and was like I need you to help me activate my new phone I bought on ebay. If the Phone has been reported stolen it wont work. we reported ours stolen the guy was out what ever he spent on it. Buyer beware on ebay! Good Luck!
