I simply can't believe some of the rationalizations portrayed in this thread. Your Mamas would be ashamed of a lot of you.

But then again with upbringing like that it might explain the amount of shoplifting and other crimes nowadays.

Dont be a hero, common sense.

Why risk your life for something that is insured and will be replaced the next day.

Hell ya, lets make a date, to visit some BBs and just see how much shit we can walk out with now! Company policy = fail!

Just like when someone breaks into your house, the police say you should ask the thieves nicely to wait for them to arrive.
You probably could walk out with some stuff but you wont get very far(they would probably call the cops) the reason bb has that policy is to protect there employees from getting hurt i mean what if the thief had a fire arm id rather him walk out with the mp3 player or whatever hes taking than get hurt or shot. I use to work at a retail store and they had the same policy.

[QUOTE=Saki GT,Aug 19 2009, 10:41 AM] Actually, as an American, no one has the right to stop or delay you unless they are law enforcement, so yes, you can shoplift and walk right out, and all witnesses can legally do is record your information for police.
