Talk about getting your car towed!
This looks like a tow truck from London.
They have to do it this was as there is not always access to the from/rear of the car to move it. Cars are usually parked "nose to tail" on parking meters, if you overrun you time on the meter, expect to see these jolly people with your car on the back of their truck in pretty short time.
if you turn up when they are removing it, once any of the wheels leave the ground, the car is theirs, you have to go to the pound and pay close to US$ 200 to get it back. This has caused a number of fights in London when people get to their car and see it being lifted and try to get the towing company not to take it away
I used to work next to a car pound where one of these came in about every 5 minutes, usually with the alarm going off on the car on the back of the truck!
They would then open the car at the pound and disable the alarm!
