Is there any way to modify/write to a database through Microsoft Excel ?
Is there any way to modify a database through Excel? I know you can query the DB to retrieve info (Data --> Get External Data --> New Database Query) but can you write to the DB with Excel? I have MySQL/MyCC which can do this but my boss wants Excel to do this as well since he thinks it is "easier" for others to use than the former. I tried telling him those programs were easy enough to use as it is but he's weird like that - he's very stubborn.
If there is a way, how would you do it? I tried a search on google but all I get back are just course outlines and not how I would do it. Thanks.

I'm not sure if you can initiate this through Excel. I believe you have to initiate it through Access, by retrieving or importing data from Excel.
That said, I'm only on my second Access database and I only "learned" it two months ago and have only put about three weeks of work into it. In other words, you should probably just ignore me.
