Yep, it's true. We've had them before. There was the million man march. Not too long after that there was the woman's march - I don't know what the number was. Now there's going to be a march against God. It is being planned and will be in Washington D.C. in the fall of this year. The promoters are atheists and agnostics who are concerned about all the emphasis on religion since 9/11. They will use magazine and billboard advertising to promote the event.

I heard about this today on a local talk radio station. It was the topic of discussion. And, yes, the discussion got hot after a bit. In this forum we can do better than that. The recent topic about "under God" in our pledge has been great. Care to chime in on this one?

By the way, don't expect to see me at the upcoming march.

Let them march. As long as I have God in my life.

I'm of two minds on this one:

1) Good for them - I'm tired of politicians pandering to religious groups so much. This shows another segment of society that should be considered.

2) As someone who considers himself agnostic, I kinda thought that meant I wasn't sure about the whole "God and religion" deal and was reserving decision until I received more facts to make up my own mind. So, why do I want to be part of anyone's march?.

They have a right just like you have a right. If you believe that they will be punished, then fine and dandy they will get their up-an-commings. This is still the USA and freedom of religion, or lack thereof is part of it. Just because 99% of us believe in God doesn't mean the other 1% have to. Since the vast majority of the country is christian does that mean that a Muslim or Hindu or Jewish parade is wrong? NO! I don't have a problem with "under god," but I don't think it is a necessity in the pledge. God is in your soul, God made the earth, god did not make countries (per my belief at least.)

Yes, but don't you think He had something to do with the creation of the S2000?

I think the "us" he was referring to meant the overall population of the USA, not the S2KI crowd. I think he was being optimistic with the numbers as well, but you get the jist....
