Right. If he's considered smart, it's no wonder the world is as it is today.
Intellectual does not necessarily equal smart. . .

No intellectual will tell you that though. . . Fundamentally, the hiker in question can certainly ascertain the Aristotelian viciousness of his captors, but clearly can't ascertain that hiking in a global conflict zone might be putting himself at risk.

he can't be to damn inteligent
think about it they're civilians. walking in the desert
they were asking for it, trust me the only reason i went walking around in the desert was because i had to
