Why are the cops idiots? Some of these cars were doing 20+ mph over the speed limit. I'd say the Mini drivers are the idiots. Just because you're "doing it for charity" doesn't mean you get to speed around the local roads. Dial it back, Jack, before you hurt someone.

the fact that they invited the local news imply that they planned to write tickets for infractions. Had the Mini's not speed, they'd been busted for something else (tinted window, loud exhaust, illegal after market mods, street racing...)
